StreamZHD encoders are format-agile. Powered by the Digital Rapids DRC-5500 hardware, StreamZHD systems can capture HD or SD video in its native format, or format convert it on-the-fly from HD to SD, SD to HD, or between HD resolutions and frame rates. StreamZHD supports 10-bit and 8-bit uncompressed video and hardware-baed JPEG2000 compression, plus a broad range of encoding formats including Windows Media 9, SMPTE VC-1, MPEG-4, AVC (H.264), MPEG-2, QuickTime and more. StreamZHD's hardware-based video pre-processing - including motion-adaptive de-interlacing, noise reduction, proc-amp controls and filtering - ensure industry-leading output quality and enable the most efficient use of bandwidth in the compressed result.

Streamlined, seamless workflow
StreamZHD servers include the StreamEnterprise software, providing a simple, consistent interface with an efficient workflow. Existing media files from differing resolutions, frame rates and sources can be transcoded to any other output format and concatenated if desired. You can encode HD up to 1280x720 at 24fps directly to Windows Media 9 (VC1) or MPEG2 from live sources in real time, or add optional hardware accelerators for the ultimate combination of real-time HD format support and encoding quality. SD video can be encoded to multiple formats simultaneously in real time, while StreamZHD's Batch Encoding mode captures any HD or SD input format to an uncompressed media file in real time and automatically transcodes it to multiple formats without user intervention.

The Stream software interface allows you to adjust compression settings and hardware pre-processing options as precisely as you want, with production-tested presets and a robust set of manual controls. Keyframeable video processing plug-ins such as graphic overlay, video overlay and color space conversion can be applied, and output can be directed to a variety of options including archive files, live video streams, FTP distribution and automated web publishing. Popular Windows Media DRM providers are supported. Reusable profiles and project files allow encoding paramters to be recalled in whole or in part, making frequently used processes accessible with as little as one mouse click. Productivity is increased, effort is reduced, and the cost of training is minimized.
